Tree cutting covers the work that sits between fine pruning and a full removal: a mid-size tree that needs to come down, branches cut back off a roof or a fence line, a fallen trunk that needs sectioning and clearing, or a boundary that's disappeared under fifteen years of volunteer growth.
It's still done with the same care as anything else we do. Cuts are placed properly, drop zones are set before a saw runs, and everything we cut leaves with us unless you'd rather keep the wood.

We look at it and give you a price
Free, no obligation. Often a photo by text is enough for a small job, though for anything near a structure we'd rather come and stand under it. You get one written price covering the cutting and the cleanup.

The area gets cleared and the drop zone set
Vehicles, furniture and anything breakable moved well clear. On a leaning or storm-fallen tree we work out where the tension is before a saw runs — that's the part that catches people out.

Cut in sections, in a planned order
Nothing gets dropped where it can't safely land. Where a limb is over a roof or fence it's roped and lowered instead of cut free, and cuts on trees that are staying are placed at the collar so the wound seals.

Cut up, hauled off and swept
Brush chipped, wood loaded out or cut to your firewood lengths and stacked, and the work area raked and blown. We walk it with you before you pay a cent.

Anybody will take a big removal. Turning up on time for a two-hour limb job, quoting it honestly and hauling the mess away is the part most companies skip — and it's the reason people call us back for the big one later.
Chainsaw work is also the single most common source of serious injury in home improvement, and cutting a tree that's already down under tension is worse than felling a standing one. Common questions
Before you book a cutting job
What's the difference between tree cutting and tree removal?
Mostly scale and what's left behind. A removal is the whole tree gone including the stump, usually a bigger tree in a tighter spot with rigging or a crane involved. Cutting covers the rest — a small tree taken down, limbs cut back, a fallen trunk sectioned and cleared. If you're not sure which yours is, describe it on the phone and we'll tell you which one we'd be quoting.
Will you do just one branch?
Yes. There's a minimum call-out because getting a crew and a truck to your street costs the same whether it's one limb or ten, but we won't turn the job down or pad it into something bigger. If you've got two or three small things around the property, mention them all at once — it's better value in a single visit.
Can I keep the wood for firewood?
Absolutely, and it doesn't cost extra — it saves us a dump trip. Tell us the length you want it cut to and where you'd like it stacked. Worth knowing that fresh-cut wood needs six months to a year of seasoning before it burns properly, and pine burns fast and dirty compared with oak.
Do you take the stump out too?
Stumps are cut flush to the ground as standard on any tree we take down. Grinding it out below grade is an add-on we'll quote at the same visit. If you're planning to seed or turf over it afterwards, our Bobcat crew can also haul off the grindings, bring in clean fill and grade the patch level so it doesn't sink over the winter.
How quickly can you get out?
Small cutting jobs are usually within the week. Anything hazardous — a fallen tree on a drive, a broken limb hanging over a walkway — gets same-day priority, so call rather than filling in the form. If it's storm season and the whole region is calling at once, we'll give you an honest timeline instead of a hopeful one.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Integrity Tree Specialist carries general liability and workers' compensation coverage, and we'll provide a certificate of insurance on request before work begins. Ask any tree company for theirs — if it doesn't arrive, that's your answer.
